Abstract
Uloga masovnih medija u izgradnji korporativnog identiteta i imidža jedan je od najznačajnijih načina na koje se realizira moć koju mediji imaju u današnjem društvu. Stoga je potrebno razmotriti i širu sliku kako bi se dobio uvid kako i zašto mediji posreduju u kreiranju korporativnog imidža. Valja pritom naglasiti da velika snaga medija nije pojava novijeg datuma, ali je svakako u današnjim globalnim gospodarskim i društvenim uvjetima na određeni način eskalirala. Drugim riječima, suvremeni masovni mediji mogu, a upravo to se i događa, biti presudni u oblikovanju identiteta, imidža i reputacije kompanije, proizvoda i usluge.

The role of mass media in building a corporate identity and image is one the most important aspects of the media power in today's society. It is therefore necessary to consider the bigger picture in order to obtain insight into how and why the media mediate in creating corporate image. It should be noted that great power of the media is not a recent phenomenon, but it certainly, in today's global economic and social conditions, in certain ways escalated. In other words, the modern mass media can, and that's exactly what happens, be crucial in shaping identity, image and reputation of the company, products and services.
